This is “brain chatter”. The constant busyness and distractions that can live in my brain. As long as I have a bunch of “chatter” going on, I do not have to feel my feelings. I can just keep my brain busy and distracted with what to do, what I need to do, what’s wrong with me, why I am so great, judge a bunch of people close to me, judge a bunch of people not close to me….in other words, KEEP MY MIND REAL REAL DISTRACTED, THAT WAY I CAN KEEP RUNNING FROM MYSELF! Doesn’t work; it just sort of seems like it does.
